Working Momma Life

It’s been almost a year since I started working again. My company anniversary is just a day away from my birthday next month. As I begin re-counting how I started, I simply feel thankful. It’s been a very exhausting but productive end of the year (and now, the start of the year). Mr. D’Town and I are left without help as soon as November 30 which reminds me of probably starting my Yaya Diaries, if given some time to write again. We manage by taking turns before and after our shifts, as if we’re roommates. Sometimes, when my Mom can, she helps us take care of Baby G for 3 to 5 days depending on the shift we have. I’m squeezing in this entry for this brand new start of 2017 (while Baby G is fast asleep and sprawled in the middle of the bed and me? at the foot of the bed with the lappy). That I really do welcome its challenges and the new goals we have ahead. I could not imagine how 10 levels higher of a difficulty would be for us as full time working parents compared to one of u...

Great Image Family Photoshoot

The Christmas Holiday is fast approaching and it is a perfect time for families to get their photos taken. There are many options to choose from and we got ours from Great Image Studios.  We went to Beloved Studios in Megamall which is also a sub-company of Great Images. We were accommodated by their manager, A and Joan, the photographer. They made us feel at ease and were very patient with giving us instructions and they especially loved working with Baby G. I can definitely say they are experienced with handling little kids with their energetic process of capturing memorable shots. Their photoshoot session starts as low as 350php. Great deal, right? The photos below are our high resolution digital files and we got ours sooner than we expected. :) The D'Towns are looking forward to our printed shots - will post them as soon as we get them!  Do you want to get a free photo session with (1) 5R print? SAHM TV: TV Guilty Pleasures

Blog entry:  TV Guilty Pleasure First of all, there's a whole lot of misconception that we, SAHMs, are "just" at home and that's all there is to it. We are busy Queen Bees in our own hives. We do chores, cook decent, edible (and sometimes 5-star quality *wink*) meals on top of handling little tykes. These darlings may be small but they can be a handful. As Stay-at-home Moms, we also need a break from our "workload" and we turn the TV on in hopes to see something that can take our mind off all the worries, chores and the list of other things we need to/want to do for the day (or even the next day!). What are your TV guilty pleasures? The kind of which you think you would not really like as much but then you suddenly find yourself following them. Back when I was single, I only had limited TV time and I just selectively watch what truly captured my interest. Here are my Top 5 TV guilty pleasures: 1.) Keeping Up with The Kardashians - ...

Slowing down and staying home

Before meeting "D'One" or Mr. D'Town, I was always on-the-go; I could not stay put and always  had plans; never stayed home. Barely. I got a regular day shift schedule with a fun-filled (and sometimes stressful) workplace that had its own twists and turns. Adding a crazy, fun team and manager to work with! If I am not out and about (or stuck in traffic), I work out almost religiously every day. I used to run 5K around the neighborhood for about 3 times a week  then shifted to Insanity Workout. I also gradually gave up rice and"regular" food. I took advantage of the time when my wisdom tooth was extracted and took up juicing and blending raw veggies/fruits for nourishment. I was at the prime of my life just before turning "the BIG 3-0". I met Mr. D'Town through common close friends and in a flash, we were together and Baby G just magically popped into my bun. Haha! Getting pregnant got me thrown off my daily routine of workouts ...
