SM SuperMoms: Mom and Me Digital Conference - What's In Store on #NationalSuperMomsDay2018 at SM SUPERMALLS

Mall of Asia Arena Complex, Pasay City on May 11 - A digital media conference was held at Gringo's to launch the #SuperMom QR Code Hunting and the numerous deals, finds and activities that are happening on Mother's day weekend or SM calls it as #NationalSuperMomsDay2018. The conference was graced with celebrity supermoms like Chynna Ortaleza-Cipriano, Princess Velasco and Sandy De Leon. Bb. Pilipinas-International 2017, Mariel De Leon was also part of the celebrity list as she graced the cover of SM's ShopMag with her mother, Sandy in its Mothers' Day theme.

A brief description of the #SuperMoms campaign was launched in 2016 to pay tribute to mothers who are considered silent superheroes of the family. Jonjon San Agustin, SM Supermalls Senior Vice President for Marketing, shared that  SM has paid tribute to all the Super Mommy shoppers who have been largely part of SM's story over the years. Thus, the #nationalSuperMomsDay2018 hashtag was created to signify these superheroes in our daily lives. It is also SM Supermalls' #HappyAwesome60SM celebrating their 60th anniversary.

This intimate digital media conference also highlights how "millennial motherhood" (or parenting) is different since there's online references, social media, and social media groups (and a whole lot of references). Sandy De Leon shared how she learned motherhood by going through the motions of her own experiences, from her mother and other female role models in her family. The digital media friends (specifically mommy writers, editors, press, bloggers, vloggers alike) had a chance to ask questions about motherhood to the celebrity moms. The celebrity moms and Jonjon San Agustin shared heart-warming insights and inspiring stories and tips as they happily answered the questions.

Celebrity Moms: Princess, Chynna, Sandy and Bb. PIlipinas INternational, Mariel De Leon shared their inspiring stories. Check out their inspiring stories on my next post. :)

The moms were asked to stand

As an amateur blogger, this is an amazing opportunity to be invited and be a part of the #SMcommunity #SMFamily to cover special occasions and events. I liked how intimate the event was with just the right number of digital media friends. Nachos were great and too bad, I had to leave just when lunch was served. The staff from the event and Gringo were very polite and accommodating. There were no snobbish or judge-y type of staff at all! The program was executed flawlessly and I like the energy and the vibe of the host, Maribeth and the special guests.

Here are some of my SM Digital Media Conference hauls: a nice fluffy Mom pillow, a Toblerone bar, our PR Kit and our souvenir photo at the bloggers/writers table.

I'd like to end this blog with Chynna Ortaleza-Cipriano's touching message to all SuperMOms out there:

"Hi SuperMOms, happy Mothers' day and don't forget, don't feel guilty if you feel  you need to celebrate yourself. Take this day to really pat yourself at the back for a job well done. And also, don't forget to always put the fun in motherhood. I think it's very important. "

Great Image Family Photoshoot

The Christmas Holiday is fast approaching and it is a perfect time for families to get their photos taken. There are many options to choose from and we got ours from Great Image Studios.  We went to Beloved Studios in Megamall which is also a sub-company of Great Images. We were accommodated by their manager, A and Joan, the photographer. They made us feel at ease and were very patient with giving us instructions and they especially loved working with Baby G. I can definitely say they are experienced with handling little kids with their energetic process of capturing memorable shots. Their photoshoot session starts as low as 350php. Great deal, right? The photos below are our high resolution digital files and we got ours sooner than we expected. :) The D'Towns are looking forward to our printed shots - will post them as soon as we get them!  Do you want to get a free photo session with (1) 5R print? Type of Carrier: Baby SaBye Mei Tai Carrier details: Mei Tai  - reversible blue and red; standard size; handwoven 100% natural cotton; vegetable dye The back is 14.5 inches (at waist) and 16 inches (at shoulder) wide; 17 inches tall without waist strap. Each shoulder strap is 9.5 to 10.5 inches wide, and 87 inches long. Waist strap is 3 inches wide and 69 inches long. Wrappee:   BabyG (boy)– 10 months – 10kgs/22 lbs Wrapper:   small – chubby build –US size 10 First glance – Baby Sabye Mei Tai looked thick and a bit rough. This is my first time to try a mei tai and I had some reservations with the straps, the size where Baby G will “sit on”  and if it can withstand Baby G’s weight on the get-go. When I tried tying the waist belt, it was crunchy and I made an effort to tighten the knot to secure it. The straps were thinner than the waist belt which was floppy and flexible. When I wore Baby G, it was an instant hit with us! ...

SAHM TV: TV Guilty Pleasures

Blog entry:  TV Guilty Pleasure First of all, there's a whole lot of misconception that we, SAHMs, are "just" at home and that's all there is to it. We are busy Queen Bees in our own hives. We do chores, cook decent, edible (and sometimes 5-star quality *wink*) meals on top of handling little tykes. These darlings may be small but they can be a handful. As Stay-at-home Moms, we also need a break from our "workload" and we turn the TV on in hopes to see something that can take our mind off all the worries, chores and the list of other things we need to/want to do for the day (or even the next day!). What are your TV guilty pleasures? The kind of which you think you would not really like as much but then you suddenly find yourself following them. Back when I was single, I only had limited TV time and I just selectively watch what truly captured my interest. Here are my Top 5 TV guilty pleasures: 1.) Keeping Up with The Kardashians - ...
