The Ultimate Guide to Being a Benefit Babe

  Photo from Momievents

Benefit and Mommievents have teamed up for The Ultimate Guide to Being a Benefit Babe workshop which showcased how to do brows and makeup just like a Certified Benebabe. This took place in the charming Benefit boutique at Alabang Town Center on April 29, 2017.

Participants learned about makeup techniques and tips from the workshop instructor: Jedd Entilla, a resident Benefit Makeup & Brow Expert. Since it's a Benefit workshop, the participants got their hands on Benefit products which was everyone's favorite part!

There were snacks and refreshments. There were loot bags that have fantastic Benefit giveaways. Eeeep! I love it!

Desha Buen, Benefit Assistant Expert and Camille Manalo from Mommievents kickstarted the event. The participants were grouped together to gear up for the workshop's agenda. There were two groups: Marshmallow Mamas and Glam Girls. They had a short group introduction by making a cheer presentation before they started with their first activity. There was also a warm-up game of make-up themed charade. This definitely got the ladies revved up for some fun but friendly competition.

The first activity tasked the teams "glamorize" their Bene Babe sheets using Benefit products. The team with the most fabulous makeup  masterpiece got a prize and it was announced at the end of the workshop.

Participants gleefully tried Benefit products and applied what they have learned from the workshop

The workshop showcased putting on full make up from brows to lips. Event ambassador, Franchesca Lagua (you know her as one of the Asia's Next Top Model contenders in season 3) graced the event with her chic presence in a pastel romper number and in fabulous heels. She was also with her ramp/commercial/Philippine Fashion Week model friend, Shanna Retuya who is equally a make-up junkie and a Benefit fan. Chesca gave some advice on make up and revealed how much she loves make-up like most participants are. She happily obliged to taking selfies with everyone in the event and was very easy to chat with.

This workshop had a light, intimate flair which made the participants feel relaxed and brought home beneficial make up tips and tricks... and of course, they can't wait to try their Benefit goodies!

Great Image Family Photoshoot

The Christmas Holiday is fast approaching and it is a perfect time for families to get their photos taken. There are many options to choose from and we got ours from Great Image Studios.  We went to Beloved Studios in Megamall which is also a sub-company of Great Images. We were accommodated by their manager, A and Joan, the photographer. They made us feel at ease and were very patient with giving us instructions and they especially loved working with Baby G. I can definitely say they are experienced with handling little kids with their energetic process of capturing memorable shots. Their photoshoot session starts as low as 350php. Great deal, right? The photos below are our high resolution digital files and we got ours sooner than we expected. :) The D'Towns are looking forward to our printed shots - will post them as soon as we get them!  Do you want to get a free photo session with (1) 5R print? Carrier Review: Baby SaBye Mei Tai

Type of Carrier: Baby SaBye Mei Tai Carrier details: Mei Tai  - reversible blue and red; standard size; handwoven 100% natural cotton; vegetable dye The back is 14.5 inches (at waist) and 16 inches (at shoulder) wide; 17 inches tall without waist strap. Each shoulder strap is 9.5 to 10.5 inches wide, and 87 inches long. Waist strap is 3 inches wide and 69 inches long. Wrappee:   BabyG (boy)– 10 months – 10kgs/22 lbs Wrapper:   small – chubby build –US size 10 First glance – Baby Sabye Mei Tai looked thick and a bit rough. This is my first time to try a mei tai and I had some reservations with the straps, the size where Baby G will “sit on”  and if it can withstand Baby G’s weight on the get-go. When I tried tying the waist belt, it was crunchy and I made an effort to tighten the knot to secure it. The straps were thinner than the waist belt which was floppy and flexible. When I wore Baby G, it was an instant hit with us! ...

SAHM TV: TV Guilty Pleasures

Blog entry:  TV Guilty Pleasure First of all, there's a whole lot of misconception that we, SAHMs, are "just" at home and that's all there is to it. We are busy Queen Bees in our own hives. We do chores, cook decent, edible (and sometimes 5-star quality *wink*) meals on top of handling little tykes. These darlings may be small but they can be a handful. As Stay-at-home Moms, we also need a break from our "workload" and we turn the TV on in hopes to see something that can take our mind off all the worries, chores and the list of other things we need to/want to do for the day (or even the next day!). What are your TV guilty pleasures? The kind of which you think you would not really like as much but then you suddenly find yourself following them. Back when I was single, I only had limited TV time and I just selectively watch what truly captured my interest. Here are my Top 5 TV guilty pleasures: 1.) Keeping Up with The Kardashians - ...
